Keenen was inspired from a friend in high school to dance and choreograph. He has been participating in a range of festivals, gigs, functions and dance competitions with his own choreography New Zealand and Australia wide for the past 4 years. He is a positive and fun person to be around and as a teacher he stresses the importance of learning and understanding musicality, as well as timing. Keenen likes to push his students and challenge them with different movement textures.
In his dance career, Keenen was lucky enough to work with professional choreographer Chris Ofanoa where he learnt the key elements of movement, discipline, finding new ways to use the space, and inspiration. Keenen truly believes that dancing from the heart and being in the moment is of the utmost importance.
Keenen's movement is predominantly a mixture of Urban and Lyrical styles. In classes, he likes to have fun and get everyone to vibe off of each other. A small sample of his achievements include: choreographer for Vice Ganda, Yeng Constantino, Pablo Cruz, Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano, and also the hilarious Pokwang.
